Kelp powder is produced from sea brown kelp plant and is of great feed value. It contains rich mineral elements such as iodine, potassium, calcium, manganese, ferrum and zinc, and also contains rich vitamins, algae gum acid, mannitol, etc, which the land plant can't provide.
Kelp powder can promote blood production in animal body and strengthen immunity system. Adding kelp powder to feed of fish and shrimp can make good influence on the growth of fish and shrimp and prevention of illness.
Due to kelp meal contains brown algae gum, which can act as binder, when kelp powderis used in feed (Granulated feed or powder feed) production and merged with water, the feed surface will be covered naturally by a film, which can promote feed coagulation. Thus, the feed utilization ratio could be improved and feed cost could be cut down. The average adding amount is 50 kg per ton of feed. At the same time, because it can be used to produce mixed feed with a-starch, just like white fish powder. And has the same geed cooperative function, it can be used to produce feed for shrimp and eel(soft-shelled turtle). Experiment shows that to produce the same stickiness, if each ton of the feed is added with 30-50 kg kelp meal, the amount of a-starch can be reduced 15-25 kg.
